Sunday Schmunday

Moshi mosh

I wore sweet lolita today, because I kinda missed it. Haven´t worn it since christmas! o.o
I feel kinda demotivated about it, because I haven´t got any new lolita things for ages >.<
Right now, I can´t buy anything either, since I have to save my money...

I wanted to wear something yellow today, I just love that bright
and nice colour this time of year when the sun is finally back, and the days are getting lighter!

Bright yellow´n´fluff

Skirt: Angelic Pretty
Cutsew: Angelic Pretty
Tights: H&M kids section
Socks: H&M kids section
Shoes: Secret shop
Accesories: Angelic Pretty, Chocomint, gift,
 CuteCanKill, Taobao, HolleyTeaTime

I love how my hands looked today :)

I need to wear my cute can kill necklace more... and I know the brooch doesn´t
really match this outfit, but I wanted to experiment a bit

Currently, I am reading the book "Lolita" by Vladimir Nabokov, mostly to see what it´s all really about. I knew the essentials of it from before, since I´ve seen the old movie and heard a bit about the story, but I still felt like reading it :) It is acctually a very interesting book, and I would really recommend it, if you´r thinking about reading it also!

For the next two weeks we are having work practice at school, so we will all be deployed at different places and won´t go to school for three weeks! (after two weeks we´ll have a small winter-break-holiday for a week) so I hope I will get time to do more of the things I want ^^
I will soon get my very first seifuku also! I am excited about that, since its pink and stuff x3

Have you read or seen "Lolita" by Nabokov?

I hope you liked this entry,
I will try to blog more! ^0^

Kawaii characters: Kiiroitori

Hellooo

You all know about the massivly popular character Rilakkuma,
and perhaps also his white female counterpart, Korilakkuma, too?
I am a very big fan of both of them, especially Korilakkuma!
Like, I think I could very well fill my room
with korillakkuma stuff and be as happy as ever...

Well, in this entry, I´d like to talk about the third wheel on the ever so sucessfull bike,
the little yellow character that often falls into the shadows of the other two.
You know who I´m talking about, the one
that most people (that I have talked to) don´t even know the name of!

The bird Kiiroitori

picture from google

The word "Kiiroitori" means "yellow bird" in japanese. To further explain
the story behind "Kiiro", you must go back to the origin of Rilakkuma.
The story has it, that Rilakkuma just appeared one day, quite mysteriously, in the female office worker Kauro´s apartment. Rilakkumas name comes from the words "relax" and "kuma"
(which means bear in japanese) being pulled together. Rilakkuma is essentially a very
relaxed bear that has lazy and laid-back attitude. Korilakkuma has a "ko" in her name,
to let people know that she is in fact a girl. Her biggest pleasure is to be mischievous,
and play practical jokes on Rilakkuma.

Now,  Kiiroitori is a little bird that lives in Kauro´s house, being her pet chicken.
He used to only live in a birdcage, but now he sneaks out
to scold Rilakkuma and Korilakkuma for their lazy or mischiveous attitudes.
His character as a bird is that of a cleaning, hard-working tsukkomi.
A tsukommi is the character in a story that is smarter and more logical, and often
criticises the others for making mistakes. Basically, he´s totally opposite from how Rilakkuma is. Sometimes he gets kind of sad, because he´s affraid he scolds them to much,
so, pretty much he is a good guy deep down :3

picture from google
The reason I chose to write a bit about Kiiroitori today,
is because I find that I have become more and more obsessed
with this character. I think its kind of sad that he often gets ignored,
atleast in the western population of the world...
I adore that little round fluffball so much,
I wanna buy loads of Kiiroitori merchandise =v= hohoho

A good thing about being a fan of Kiiroitori internationally though,
is that he is a relativly "unknown" character. Like earlier mentioned, not many
seems to know his name, and he isn´t exactly the one flung all over peoples bedrooms
when you search for kawaii things on tumblr either, so...

If you are after getting some things to show your appreciation
of this highly underrated character, you can, in other words, get it quite cheaply! ^^
lets fill our house with kawaii things 8D

Here is some awsome warps for
Kiiroitori fans!

Get this medium sized Kiiroitori plush at EBAY for only 31$
 picture from ebay.
That is almost a 20$ difference to many of the Rilakkuma or Korilakkuma plushies they sell on Ebay...

Personally, I have fallen madly in love with these adorable little slippers, that I just HAVE to order
as soon as I get the funds for that kind of things =v=
Get your pair HERE for 24$
 picture from ebay.

And, you know that adorable Rilakkuma tote that is shaped like Rilakkumas head?
The one that everyone seems to have ?
Well, they acctually made one for Kiiroitori also ^^
It has such a happy yellow colour! love it!<3

You can get it HERE for 20$

If you want something more discreet, there is tons of adorable keychains out there
for you to pick from. "Kiiro" happens to be a very small character, so its quite natural
to make so many tiny items of him x3 hehe

Also, for a even more subtle way of showing your affection,
you could buy some really cute stickers! You probably won´t find sticker sheets
containing only Kiiroitori stickers, but if you buy some of the kind with mixed characters,
you will get quite a few of them eventually. Stickers is also a lovely way of
decorating your letters, if you have a penpal.
I love adding stickers to the letters I write <3
Also, you could even get a Rilakkuma letter set, where you would
probably find some designs involving "mr. fluffyball" :3 hihi

What do you think of Kiiroitori ?

Help spread the word of this cute little fellow around ^0^
 Kiiroitori needs love also! :---)
I hope you guys found some new Kawaii inspiration in this little info text.
The next big holiday coming up is easter after all,
so why not get a little head start?
"Kiiro" is a chicken after all...
I love learning about new kawaii characters,
the producers make the cutest background story for them :3
 It keeps it exciting!

I hope to write soon again!
 And I hope you enjoyed
this little obsession post x3 hehe

+what happens it happens+

MoShI mOsHi!

I recently saw someone start their blog entry with those words, so I just had to give it a go =v= feels very nostalgic and happy-go-lucky-ish x3 hehe

I thought I´d just start off by answering the questions I got in my Q/A post! ^^
I don´t think people remembered it, or maybe I am just a very boring and un-interesting person, anyway, I only got two questions, so I will answer them here, instead of making a big entry, like I planned...

The first one is from

"how long does it take you to get ready on a normal day? you always look so perfect ^^"
Awww! You are far to kind, you know, since I barely look decent these days =A=
anyway... normal days, when I go to school, it takes about 10-15 min to get ready. In the weekends when I dress up, It takes from 10 min until 40-45 min ? It really depends on how elaborate my outfit/hair/makeup is :P

The second question is from

"who's your no. 1 lolita inspiration?"

Ooooh, that is such a hard question! There is many, many lolitas I look up to for inspiration, and I don´t think I could single out someone at this point.... examples though are people like Princess Peachie, Cadney, Lunie, Misako Aoki, Pastelbat, Deka Wanko (though fictional), Victoria Susanne, Pixie_late, shelbycloud... and the list just goes on and on and on! The thing is, you see, that the definition of "lolita inspiration" is rather loose, atleast for me... When one is an inspiration, is it the clothing you wear? your attitude? brand? cordination? you vision of life? Your taste or your doings? All of these are taken into consideration, and for me, to have been so lucky as to meet and befriend many lovely lolitas over the internet, I have really come to see those attributes for what they are worth. I am so thankfull for that. They are what keeps me smiling, even when I face rough days :)

Now, on to my update!
I thought I do a proper, old-fashioned one today, and tell you guys a bit
about what has been going on in my life these past few days/weeks.

I have had an unusually rough start of the new year, and I hope I am finally facing brighter days!^^
I am waiting for loads of exciting things to arrive in the mail (my first seifuku ever, artbook and hairdye amongst other things) and my weekends haven´t been to bad either.

Finally, the light is getting decent for taking pictures again! :D
Acctually, today we saw the sun again for the first time in over a month,
and it felt really nice to know that we have lighter days ahead.

I did a little experiment this weekend. How simple can an outfit be, and still be kawaii?

I got a new pair of pants recently, that I am having a hard time cordinating. I kinda like this though! Just have to add something macabre to my outfits sometimes...
Also, I had the best hair day EVER yesterday! What do you think? ^^

I wore it out when me and my parents went to a tiny little café that is located in our nearby town :)
It was so cosy!

I had marzipan covered Walnutcream cake, with strawberry/rasberry milkshake <3
It was so yummy!

Otherwise, I have read VERY much manga this weekend! (I am one of those people that acctually tend to prefer manga very often over anime, since you get the feel of the original artists work.) I am completly in love with some of them, and I will probably write about it later, since I have been drawing fanart as well ^^

We had something quite different and very yummy for dinner last night! It was a pie, completly without crust/dough! It only had greens, eggs, ham and cheese.
It was almost like a omelette, one might say.
The secret though, to giving it a firmer texture, was that it had loads of spinach. It was really yummy, and super healthy also ^0^

Other than that, I watched a really bad made b-movie that lasted faaaaar to long, I took a walk in the dusk, I wondered about life (like I always seem to do on Sundays)
and I just generally existed for a while.

Do you like going to cafés
with your family or friends?

Happy new years! ^^

I know its a little bit late, but I really wanted to do a new years update >w<
I have been reeeeeally down lately, I hope it will get better soon... I´ll take one day at a time, and see how it turns out! Thinking to far ahead just makes me feel depressed, so I´ll take it slow :)

that aside, I am excited about this being the year of the snake! ^^ I am not particularily into snakes, but I think they are kinda quircky and special, which over all makes me expect an interesting year ahead. This year is the first year that I have ever felt like time is running out and that I would rather have time move backwards, so I am hoping something good will happen. Acctually I would just like to stop time for a very long time onwards, so that I could have more time to just think and do nothing!

I made a drawing to celebrate the new years. I got loads of moleskines for christmas, and decided to start using one of them. So I did this drawing on new years eve!
I was inspired by loads of pixiv artists, but really, I just wanted to use
my new colouring pencils as well, so loooads of colours <3

New years resolutions

- be happy

- do something for myself

- draw more

- play more video games

- dress up a bit more

- update my blog with better entries

I hope I will be able to do atleast some of them!

Do you have new years resolutions?

and a silly little gif for yah!

PS: please comment on the Q/A post!
