Vacation in Great Britain: part 3

 
The third/last full day in London, we started with going to the national portrait museum, to look at paintings and pictures to get inspired for future photographic school assignments that we might get. It was really lovely! Everything from huge paintings of victorian kings and queens in their most bejeweld attire, to the simplest little sketches, and modernistic photography of all the most famous people up through history... Personally, I was really fascianted by all  the details in the art, and wound up looking at the "wrong" things (folds, shadows and such, since I am into drawing myself) instead of the things I could have adapted into a photograph (positioning of the model, light, style of clothing etc.) hehe... all my reference pictures are detail pictures = V="""

Since the gallery was coincidentally situated in Leichester Square, we were quite close to China Town, which was really great, since my group had planned to go there afterwards. The first thing we did after finishing up our tour at the gallery, was to go look for a close-by Ben & Jerrys´ that we had found during some searching on google earlier. We don´t particularily have that kind of thing in my country (or atleast not in the smaller cities and towns) so it was definitely a goal to find one!

... I guess the picture can state our search was successfull x) hehe

I ordered a sundae with three icecream-scoops (cookie-dough, s´mores and baked alaska) and it was topped with whipped cream, white chocolate, milk chocolate and nut bits and a drizzle of chocolate sauce to finish it off ;v; yay <3 de–e–licious!

Later, we looked around china town. We found loads of little cute shops with kawaii things in them. I finally got myself a new wallet! (My melody themed) and resisted buying the totally overpriced arpakassos they had there >v< (I have still got to get my first one ;^;  own none still!)

I tried out bubble-tea for the first time! I tried matcha milk tea with "tapioca" bubbles
(correct me if I misspelled it >.<). It was rather strange, but tasty ^^ I wasn´t able to finish it though...

Later we went back to oxford street, to do some last "cramp" shopping. I got a cute red tartan skirt from H&M (something I have been searching for for ages!), and the others got themselfes some new clothings as well. We wound up at Pizza Hut where we split a pizza between the three of us, and in the end we wound up so late that had to run our feet sore to get to our next appointed meeting place, to meet up with the rest of our class and teacher: the trainstation with the train that was going to take us to the Harry Potter Warner Bros studios tour! We were so afraid we were gonna miss the train, and essentially we were acctually 5 to 10 min too late to go, but we made it just in time anyway!

My, oh my, that was quite an adventure @_@ I was mindblown! It was so amazingly cool!
I don´t consider myself a very, very hardcore fan of the Harry Potter series. Sure I have those periods of time when I have a crazy Harry Potter period of my life, where I just have to read all the books again, watch the movies and play the games (usually during summer vacation it seems XD hehe) but generally it´s more one of those things that I am a fan of, but its not apparant at all times!
But there, and then... I felt like a little kid again x3 yaay <3

Imagine, actual REAL sets, props, outfits and gear worn and used in the movies... for display!??

(we were allowed to take as many pictures as we wanted, but my phone who is stupid and old, died on me,
so I got very few of them >.<)

 It felt really surreal. We saw everything from the great hall, the Gryffindor common-room, Dumbledoors office, Hagrids hut... I rode a broom and the flying car, got to see how they did loads of their special effects and even got to meet loads of the animal actors (several generations down) that was used in the movies! ^^ In the outdoor area they had butterbeer that tasted like soda with caramel and whipped cream on top xDD a classmate bought some, so I got to taste a mouthfull... really weird ( didn´t really like it...). And I got to take a picture of and with Hedwig ;v; <3 the real Hedwig!

 Later we saw the workshops with the different models, special creatures and masks and loads more information. Statues of centaurs, trolls and gnomes, and close up details of mermaids and loads of other things you never get to see in the actual movies! Just before we came out, we got to walk through the Diagon Ally (it was so lovely peeking into all the windows ;v;) and the whole tour ended with a huuuge 10 meter tall model (atleast!) of Hogwarts, with every little detail put in, like the boat-house, the whomping willow, the quidditch fields and everything! *v*

(here is also the ticket I got at the shop at Kings Cross!)

Needless to say, I had to get a couple of chocolate frogs (only one pictured here) and a copy of the Quibbler (with glasses!) from the souvernir shop before we left x3

Just to quickly mention the next day, since nothing special happend...

I felt rather sick this day, so we just took it slow...

 we went and looked at Big Ben and the London eye (though we didn´t take the tour)
and basically we (me, my classmates and teacher) parted around 1 or 2 pm. 

I headed to Heathrow on my own, and the others went to Gatwick (kinda scary, but I met everyone was so helpful and kind, it was no problem really...), and soon enough I found myself on the plane to Edinburgh. Nothing much happend on the first day. I got settled with all my suitcase in my sisters apartment, and otherwise just looked around some shops, if I remember correctly ^^ I was to excited about the following adventures to focus xD

As you might know, I took the opportunity to visit my friend Ruth (Princess-Peachie) while I was in Edinburgh, so the next entry will be about our first (out of three!) meetup! ^0^<3You see, we had planned to meet up the very next day after my arrival! I hope you look forward to it as much as I do writing about it ;V; I promise there will be better pictures >.< ehm...

sickness and new obsession

 

I have been sick almost the entire time through this past week! 

From tuesday until saturday, basically >.< 

I am usually never sick, so it was really odd that it lasted so long, 

and I was so exhausted at the end of it that I didn´t really know what to do with myself,
I just felt super ambivalent, full of headace, slimey throat and nose and all my muscles were aching...

I´ve walked around in a huge, cosy, woollen sweater and big, bulky scarfs all week! Extremly boring and only oriented around comfort... and I tell you, even with all that on, 

I felt like an iceicle all the time :-S

I am happy its over! Or well, just about over... my throat is still slimey, but all the other things are ok now ;v; Sadly, my nose has turned into a huge, bulky flaming red mess, because I´ve been blowing my nose so much... so I´ve been blowing my nose, it has dried up, I´ve blown it again and the skin started getting all flaky and falling off, and now its super sore and flaky, yet slimy and it hurts really much, so I don´t particularily feel very good about myself >.>

 I kinda look like a monster at the moment... I feel really bad for not uploading any pictures lately, but too be honest, I´ve been too sick and depressed  >.<

I´ve been drawing a lot, reading books, tried focusing on things that was not only
oriented about depression, it was pretty much just horrible all until very yesterday,
when I discovered a new thing, that will surely be a new obsession of mine ;v; 

You might have heard of it, you might not have, what I am talking about, however, is

Bee and PuppyCat! 

It is a totally new cartoon series created by Natasha Allegri, who works as a character designer and storyboard artist on Adventure Time (which happens to be my favourite fandom ;v;) 

so when I found it I offcourse felt intrigued...

Until now, only half an episode has been published, but oh wow what an episode ;A;

    Just look at this! I absolutely adore every single thing about this show, the super cute drawing-style, the storyline and the characters.... everything is so freaking adorable, quirky and super cool! I have a feeling it will be a big favourite of mine ;3; I can´t wait until they post the next part!  It won´t be until August 7th, sadly ;___;
What do you think of "Bee and PuppyCat"?   Now I will continue doodling fanart, tend to my sore nose, and hope that my working
days at the library keeps being as cosy as I find them to be up until now ; v;
It´s only 9 days until I´m going to Sweden, yay!    Until next time!

Hullooo!

I decided to make a video of myself opening the Pinkly Ever After package I got a while ago! ^v^

I know its a bit overdue, but yeah, I spendt a long time editing and such since I´m very new to all this... video-making stuff ^^" ehehehehe.....

Pink kick!+ exciting project + music

Dearest readers!

First of all, OMG so many things have happend!!! @_@ 

The first thing I wanna mention is that I have recently been contacted

 about being able to participate in something very exicting!

  

Some days ago, I got contacted by a couple of really nice guys that has a country-wide project going on with teenagers. Initially, it was to cover how different teenagers handeled the time after the 22nd of July incident, but they recently started widening their horizon for other things as well! 

Now they have traveled through the entire country, they have been both in the east, west, north and south, and they told me that this was the last place they´d visit for now. The project is to display teenagers with special interest, and portraying their life to others through a documentary and a book they will publish! A girl in a class above me contacted me about these guys and told me they had talked to her (they knew her from before, I assume) about me! o.o They wanted to do a case about me, because they found my blog and they thought my fashion style and life was so interesting they wanted to have me in the project! @A@ OMG! 

So, as I said, I was contacted a few days ago to meet them and go in a meeting with them( The girl that contacted me about them joined me, since I am so shy >w< ). We talked  about 1 1/2 hour or something, and they questioned me about everything. They were really nice and kind, letting me know all sorts of things they were doing, and even gave me a pamplet and  showed me a movie they had made so I could see how they do their work. What they wanna do, is to talk to me about my life, and follow me for about 5 weeks (I think that was it) to get to know me and to be able to write the story. They also wanna do a documentary thats gonna be about 6-7 min long about my life. They said they would probably be together with me at school sometimes, and at home for dinner or just hanging out doing everyday things. I was to decide for  myself how long their visits would be and how often. They also said I needed to talk to my parents and that they would really like to have a meeting with them to clear things up properly in that sort of manner also :) They were very professional and nice, 

and I am sure they are legit in their job! I were to get back to them in a couple of days (meaning today or tomorrow or monday) to settle more arrangements 

and to settle if I am going to go through with it or not.

AND NOW JUST O____O OMG I can´t belive this is acctually happening to ME! 

This is just crazy! Do you guys REALIZE that this means my life will be PUBLISHED IN A BOOK and made into a documentary @_@ Its so crazy I don´t even... seriously I can´t belive it... I am so nervous and excited and I don´t even know what to feel! If this happens... I just... I am speachless... a part of me reeeeally wants to do it, because it seems so exciting, but I know it will be tiring, they told me that was what most of the teenagers they had worked with had said before, that it was quite tiresome but that they got used to it, and I can very well understand that! I mean like, 5 weeks! It´s not like they will stay with me 24/7, but still! They will need to meet up with me quite often. 

In the interview they asked about all sorts of things, like what I like to do on my freetime (I said I play videogames and draw =v= hehe), and they were especially interested if there was anything going on soon that they can join in on. I told them I will colour my hair lavender soon, and they just LOVED that XD haha... they really wanted to join me on that anyway :p hehe...

On the other side, I kinda don´t wanna do it, because I am afraid how I will react to them being there so often... I am really introverted and people drain me of energy enough as it is in my everyday life... also there is my eating disorder >.> that could very well be a problem as well... I am just afraid my mental health won´t be able to do it >.< eeehhh....

so now I REALLY need to know what you guys think about this! 

SHOULD I DO IT OR NOT???

This is probably something that only comes along once in a lifetime, and there is only a small number of teenagers involved, like... not everyone has the oportunity to do this! But I am seriously afraid of my mental health and my eating disorder... my whole life is very rigid and strict on time schedule...

I have been in a pink faze again ^^ Ever since I got my seifuku I just love doing cute outfit with loads of pink! So I thought I´d show you guys some recent outfits :)

Last weekend was a reeeally lazy weekend, I only went to a café with my parents and went to watch the tiny protest going on in our little local town against the oil drilling in our area (my district is these days in a big political crisis over this matter), and after that I just played some games and watched a movie 

(if I remember correctly)

This outfit was super lazy, but I like it, so here it is ^^ Pink fuzzy socks and skinny jeans from H&M,  pink sweater from minkyshop, hairband from Lindex :3 Curled my hair also! Terrible lighting due to the rainy weather that day ^^" sorry! 

The next outfit I wore today! I have been in a good/excited/nervous mood all day due to this project thing and the fact that it´s a weekend (because I love weekends  *v*) So once again I wanted to wear something super cute ^0^ I decided on my Seifuku once more, but this time, matched with pink!

It has been ages and ages and ages since I wore this wig (or any wig!) so I decided to give it a go!
I really want a lot more wigs! I only own two, this one and my dark brown curly prisila wig... I want a proper lolita twintail wig ;v; and a lot of others! Maybe I should start buying that *takes notes*

I realise the hairties doesn´t go with the outfit, but I wanted something cute in my hair as well,
and I wear my beloved "Kurebayashi" hairties far to seldom =v= I wanna get
some of those ball hair ties with little gumball-looking marbles on them *v*
they are so cute and I love how Cotton Chu looks in them!

The last outfit is also a very simple one, I wanted to try out the sweater my sister
 knitted for me for christmas!  ^^ She is so talented <3
 I got my roots taken! now my hair looks nice again *v*

I like how this is such a soft outfit with a kitten badge and a sweater in alpaca yarn
 but it has an edge with the black details, like the headband and platforms ^^

It´s a bit to cold to wear it now, but I will definitely wear this when it become warmer!
(also I don´t have makeup in any of these pictures because they are taken on days I´ve been at home only)




Thats the outfit for now, but I also wanted to show you guys some AWSOME music I just found!

I have been a bit bored with my music lately, so I have been a lot on youtube finding new things to listen to, and suddenly I stumbled upon a really cute and cool girl band called

Silent Siren !

They have super duper cute pop, punk electro music that I just adore! Their music kinda reminds me of the band the girls in K-ON! has :)

Sweet tips + art update

Hey!

Today I wanted to make a small update with some art I have made recently, 

and also a recommendation for you all! ^0^

I´ve quickly mentioned it before, but recently I have been reeeeeally into reading a manga called 

Yumeiro Patissiere

It´s about a girl named Ichigo, who loves eating cakes and sweet treats, and she has a very refined taste for them. One day she is picked out to start at a school for confections and baking, 

so she can learn more about making cakes! ^^

There she meets others who likes baking, and she also meets the sweets spirits. The sweets spirits are small, fairy-like creatures that has been sent to earth from the sweets kingdom to learn about making sweets and cakes! So, they have to choose a human to be their partner. 

Ichigo meets a sweets spirit called "Vanilla" (whose speciality is vanilla flavoured things)

 and they become great friends <3

After a while she figures out some of the others also have sweets spirits, and they all have specialities they are good at (and their names usually give them away ;-3 ) 

I love this manga because it features gorgeous shoujo art, and tons of details just drowned in cuteness ;v; Seriously, even though either Ichigo or any of the others are lolitas, 

they dress in super frilly clothing with tons of adorable alice-like details, 

bows, buttons, frills, lace, pintucks and sparkly little gems all over the place. So If, you are looking for a cute comic to read, that can fit with your sweet image, or just to please your kawaii-craving soul, look no further, this is it! It is an incredibly cute story, filled with all the most delicious and dreamy treats you could ever imagine ( new ones in every chapter!),  combined with adorable fashion and wonderfully sweet shoujo faces (enormous glittery eyes anyone???) and elaborate cute hairstyles. Forever a favourite in my heart, now that I´ve found it. I wish to purchase the actual manga books as soon as I can afford it, and I will try to watch the anime series as well. For now, I´ve just got to settle with reading it online as it updates >.<"

Since I completely fell in love with this series, I couldn´t stand not making any kind of fan art to show my appreciation of it, and thus.... these two pictures where made :3 

This drawing I made about 1-2 weeks ago, using paint tool sai ^^ I am very pleased with the result, and I think it is the prettiest digital drawing I´ve ever made ;v; 

So I am actually quite proud of it, and not afraid to say so! 

It is Vanilla-chan, Ichigos sweets spirit! ^0^ I really love her design, so I just had to draw her! She has the cutest hairstyle, don´t you think? I had no idea what to put in the background, so I made some bows, and cakes (first time drawing digital food like this!).... I am sorry the cherry pie looks a bit derp, it´s my first time drawing it >.< I like how the cookie came out though! It looks like it has actual texture and everything :D yay!

 I also find it hard to draw gold, so the spoon might look a bit funny :-/... All in all though, I am really happy with it! ^0^ I hope you guys like it also! Please let me know what you think <3 

The second fanart picture I made, I finished only today! 

I have promised myself to draw more male characters this year, because I am quite bad at male anatomy and such >.< But I really like how (some of) this came out! I only used my own hands as reference, live-acting the poses, not even taking pictures while I drew ^0^

This is Kashino! One of the "sweets princes" that Ichigo befriends at the school. He is actually not the kind of guy to smile, but I wanted to make him look happy for once ^^ His sweets spirit is called Chocolate, so you can guess her speciality ;-3 hehe... 

The story of this picture is that Kashino just made that delicious café latte, mocca and physalis cake (with pocky topping) and he is letting us know that he couldn´t have done it without the help of his wonderful fairy friend, Chocolate ^^ hihi <333 

I made this only using photoshop for the colouring, so I know it´s not as good as the previous one... I really wanna become good at using photoshop also though, 

so I need to practice even though it´s kinda tedious at times >.<"""""

The one thing I see that is really off in this picture, is his shoulders... but I find it very hard drawing shoulders underneath clothing like that, so I guess that´s just something I´ll have to practice...
