Kawaii characters: Kuromi

I decided to resurrect this little series of mine about kawaii characters! 

If you are a long-time reader of mine, you might remember I did an entry about Kiiroitori some years ago! I guess the point of this series was so reveal the backstories and information about kawaii characters that might fall in the shadow of the most popular ones (like Hello Kitty, My Melody and the like). Also, if you are into kawaii stuff, knowing more about it is never wrong, right? 

Well, today I will inform you about the 
ever mischievous rival of My Melody, namely: 

Kuromi!

Profile:

• Name: Kuromi
  
• Birthday: October 31 (Halloween).
• Personality: Although she looks punky she acts very girlish and she loves handsome guys.
• Hobby: She enjoys writing in her diary. These days, she's into romance stories.
• Favorite colors: Black and Hot Pink.
• Favorite food: Shallots, all kinds of meat, and in recent Kuromi merchandise cherries have been shown. 
   

Kuromi looks like the "evil-version" of My Melody, like you could imagine those "nice angels" and "evil angels" on someones shoulder! However, even though Kuromi is the rival of My Melody, her reason for not liking her is pretty silly. Kuromi loves writing in her diary, and once, according to history, My Melody swiped a page from her diary to wipe Piano the Sheeps nose, and since then Kuromi has furiously recorded every "miss-doing" My Melody has ever caused her. The problem is ,though, that My Melody is most often oblivious to Kuromis reasons to be angry, and most of the incidents are just accidents built on missunderstandings and the like. *sigh* it´s a though world, ey?
My Melody is actually quite into the idea of befriending Kuromi, she doesn´t understand the wrong-doings she causes her at all!

Well, something else that is interesting about Kuromi is that she has a devils-tail and that is her weak point! If anyone were to step on it, she would pass out! Also, sources have it that the pink skull on her cap changes it´s expression according to her mood!

Something I surely didn´t know before I checked her out more, was that she appears in an anime beside My Melody, called "Onegai My Melody"! (This is certainly on my to-watch list!). There she is the leader of a though biker-gang, with 5 members. Those are :

• Nyanmi, the purple cat
• Wanmi, the orange dog
• Konmi, the white fox
• Chumi, the grey and white rat

They all wear black and drive around in a menacing fashion!

Now, there isn´t too much else I can say without spoiling further into her anime-apperance, so I´ll leave that up to you to find out  ;-)

My favourite colour is light pink, but I love all pastel colours! ^0^

I like scones, naan bread, sushi, chocolate,

 cheesecake, melted cheese, tea, pasta salad etc.

sooo many ;o_o I like lolita, amoeji-kei, hime-kaji, hime-gyaru, fairy-kei, mori girl,
cult party-kei, "Juria-style", pastelgoth, sweet gyaru, mahou-kei and more recently acctually Shironuri ^^ I bet there is more if I think about it xD

I have a cat named Arthur (named after king Arthur because

and we have 5 or 6 hens.

I can express myself freely, and share inspiration and cute things with everyone ^^
I love reading about inspirational things, so I want to inspire others to live their dreams.

soooo many thing... the dark, seagulls, dogs, social situations, being a failure (all the time), getting yelled at, getting big, getting wrinkles, horror movies etc...

I like j-pop, j-rock, k-pop, indie-asian music,

 electronica, classical music, anti-folk, 8-bit music, and OSTs...
I like music with weird lyrics and stuff... 

and sometimes I just like parts of songs, because of the melody!

Favourite artist? hmm... I love Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu, Perfume, Marino, Röyksopp,
MGMT, Capsule, KARA, UI... I could go on forever o.o

 

11.Where to get your inspiration from?

It varies very much, from art, j-fashion street snaps, magazines, japanese blogs,
others blogs, tumblr, and sometimes just from music! ^^ I look up to many many maaaany wonderful
people that dresses in lovely clothes ;A; I think those inspire me the most!

 I try to start collections all the time, but I kinda fail =_= I wanna
collect so many thing though *^* Artbooks, korilakkuma things, Little twin star things,
arpacassos, and loads of other things >,<
I used to collect erasers when I were little, still have my collection today ;v;
I also collected a whole nighttable-drawer full of those tiny things you got with dolls when you bought them at the store, and really tiny toys... still have that also :3

Quickie update just to let you guys know that I am doing a Q/A post! :)

The worst weekend ever

I felt the need to let you know why my regular update system hasn´t been working this weekend.

It began with the fact that it is extremly cold, icy and slippery outside right now where I live...

On friday, I was rushing down to the bus to go to school, just as I got out of my house, I slipped on our stone staircase outside our frontdoor, and fell, head first on the rocks....

I also hit my left hand (giving me a huge blue mark), both my arms and my back and my neck!

Needless to say, I couldn´t go to school! My parents suspected that I had a concussion, so I had to spend all day lying on the coutch, for my mom to observe me... at first, I didn´t really feel any pain, I was a bit dizzy and naucious, but after a while, my neck started hurting A LOT! I almost couldn´t use my arms, and just my neck holding my head up was terrible....

basically, I couldn´t turn my head in any direction, and at one point I almost couldn´t speak either, because it hurted my neckmuscles so much >.<

To make things worse, on Saturday when I woke up, I had a hard time getting out of bed, because that would demand me to lift my head, so I almost had to roll out of it...

I stayed in my jammies all day, and my neck hurt so bad that even though I was sitting down or lying in my bed/on the sofa, I never felt like I was resting, because my head constantly hurt.... 

I tried all kinds of painkillers, ate tons of them also, but nothing seemed to work! 

I didn´t have any energy left over for doing anything else than just lying or sitting there...

In the evening, I felt a little bit better, and decided to take a walk and finish a requested drawing, but I REALLY shouldn´t have done that!

When I woke up on Sunday morning, my condition was worse than ever...

my entire body was shaking, and I had to walk very slowly, breath heavy and sit down several times to take a break just to get down to the kitchen... I felt like hurling all the time, and I seriously had to force myself to get where I was going! I HAD to eat something, to stop the shaking....

THAT part was the worst, because, well... I don´t know about you guys, but I don´t really feel like eating anything when I feel like puking at the same time :-S

I decided on trying oatmeal though, since the taste is rather neutral.... 

I managed to eat 3/4 of a bowl...

This day, I HAD to stay in bed all day long... On saturday I could atleast sit or walk around inside our house.... It was the most boring and painfull day ever ... really, I spent all day just lying in bed, sleeping and gently surfing the internet when my body didn´t hurt to much... Had to take plenty of breaks though... my hands hurted a lot even from just typing :-(

And today, my mom ordered me to stay home also, because I am not 100% well yet, even though I am finally able to move my head properly, and the pain isn´t as bad as before... 

To top this of, I have a big test tomorrow at school, that I have been far to sick to study for >.< I haven´t had any kind of consentration, and two of the days I didn´t even have the text book that I needed to study! My teacher was kind enough to drop by and give it to me on Sunday, but since that by defenition was the worst day, offcourse I couldn´t read anything! 

Today, I have read as much as my concentration has allowed me to, I will try to read more this evening, but I have a bad feeling about the test TT_TT

anyway, it was the worst weekend ever, and the badest part about it, is that I feel even more tired now than I did before the weekend started! 

UGH! stupid life >.<

1: Which of your features are you most proud of? (ex: hair, eyes etc)

I like that my legs are long ^^ And I like that my nose is completely straight, like... normally everyone has something that is a little bit crocked about their nose, but mine is really straight... its kinda weird acctually xD

2: What style would you love to wear but never thought you could pull off?

I am not really sure... maybe mori girl... I really want to try it out, but I am unsure if I would be able to get enough layers and stuff...I really don´t know, because I think I could pull it off to some exdend... I AM going to wear it sometime! ^^

Also, I think boat-necklines are really pretty, but I can´t wear those because my shoulders are quite wide allready....

It might sound like I am super full of myself, but right now, I can´t think of any... 

oh! maybe cosplay! Yeah, I don´t think I could pull of cosplaying... I would just look tacky and weird in that >_> I would really love to try it out some day, because I think it looks really awsome when its done well,  but I am afraid it will suck if I try...

3: Why did you start blogging and what motivates you to continue posting?

I think I started blogging because I thought it seemed like a lot of fun! ^^ For many years now, I have been reading blogs like Lolita Charm (now Pairfait Doll), Zerudaswonderland, and Fyeahlolita (amongst many others). I always felt so inspired by all their wonderful lifestyle articles, cute little everyday tips, and new twists of doing things, and they always managed to fill me with creativity! >v< 

 I first thought that no one would be interested in little me, but then I found tumblr, got more and more into fashion, and somehow got more and more followers, and after a while...

  many people acctually told me that they would enjoy reading about my life/style more, so then I decided to start writing a real blog on my own! :) 

 

I want to use this blog to spread inspiration and tips, and make people want to do creative things also! ^^ I really hope that my blog will be able to reach someone, and make them get up and do something totally new, or try out a new style or find a new webshop they really like :D

I wish to express myself through fashion, style tips, and fun things that I like! ^^

I am motivated to continue because of all of this, and because of wonderful readers <3

4: If you could have any super powers, what would you want?

Maybe being able to make money appear from thin air! *v* then I could buy anything I wanted without having to save up for it for many months >v< hohoho!

5: What makeup product can you not live without?

My Skin 79 BB - cream! ^^ It is really great :D After I started wearing it, I love how my makeup looks on my skin! ^^

6: Your biggest fear?

loosing myself...  meaning in many different ways...

7: Best way to kill time when you´re by yourself, waiting for someone/something?

watch a movie, surf on the internet, tumblr >w<, look up new exciting webpages, reading a book, gaming, doodling ? ^^

8: Where do want to be in life in 10 years?

living and working in Japan! ^^ Doing something creative and fun :D

9: One item, in your opinion, that could completely ruin a perfectly good outfit?
(ex: belts, scarfs etc)

Scarfs can acctually cover up outfits very much, and sometimes they don´t look that good.... 

I guess wearing vastly different fabrics can be very wrong aswell... 

Oh, acctually, makeup and hairstyle! Even if you wear amazing brand clothes, if your hair/makeup isn´t done properly, your outfit might end up looking really bad.

The right pair of shoes/feet wear is important also! Old sneakers is just wrong with a pretty outfit!

10: Whats your favourite makeup remover?

I usually use Simple - kind to skin cleansing facial wipes ^^ I think those work very well,

 and they are easy on your skin! :)

11: Do you have any secret talents? If not, any you wish you had?

Secret? I have some weird ones, but they are not really secret XD haha...

I can spot where I have seen an actor/what movie they have starred in before, when I see an actor in a movie or a show,  almost instantly! ^^"
